Indian benchmark indices broke their two-sessions gaining streak on Tuesday dragged by selling pressure in auto and pharma stocks. While the S&P BSE Sensex settled at 80,004.06, down by 105.79 points or 0.13%, the broader Nifty fell below 24,200 to close at 24,194.50, lower by 27.40 points or 0.11%.Commenting on the day's movement, Rupak De, Senior Technical Analyst at LKP Securities said that Nifty is confined between the 21 EMA and the 55 EMA which has resulted in a range bound movement for the second consecutive session. "In the short term, the trend remains positive, with a buy-on-dips strategy favoring traders. On the lower end, 23,950–24,000 might act as crucial support levels, while 24,500 could act as a key resistance level. A decisive move above 24,500 might trigger a further sharp rally," De said.
