Marin County deputy rescues driver from floodwaters

A Marin County sheriff’s deputy rescued a driver who became trapped in her car after veering off the road and plunging into a flooded creek. The woman was driving along Platform Bridge Road, near Point Reyes Station, just after 5 a.m. Tuesday when she hit a large puddle of water and lost control of her vehicle, which ended up in the creek, authorities said.
