If there’s one thing the past 48 hours or so have proven, it’s that the Toronto Maple Leafs are likely going to get worse before they get better. Speculation that the Maple Leafs are lowballing John Tavares and letting Mitch Marner walk in free agency is problematic, and there is a very good chance the Leafs will take a step back next season.
