Many states demand rise of share to 50 pc from divisible pool: Aravind Panagariya

Several states requested an increase in their share of the central divisible pool from 41 per cent to 50 per cent, with Odisha expressing strong support for including cess and surcharges in the pool. Odisha also demanded adjustments in the weightage criteria for distributing funds and emphasized past neglect by the Centre.
