Malegaon blast case verdict likely on July 31, 17 years after deadly attack

A special NIA court will likely announce its verdict on Thursday in the 2008 Malegaon blast case. The blast killed six and injured over 100. Seven accused, including Pragya Thakur and Prasad Purohit, are facing trial under UAPA and IPC. The NIA has sought punishment for the accused. The trial concluded on April 19, 2025.
