Maldives estimates securing MVR 1.6 bn foreign aid from India in 2025

Maldives expects MVR 1.6 billion in grant aid from India in 2025, making up 72 per cent of its foreign aid. The total international grant aid is projected to be MVR 2.25 billion. China will contribute MVR 502 million. Aid is also expected from Japan, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and the Netherlands. India has provided substantial financial help this year.
