Maharashtra polls: BJP names 2 more candidates; count reaches 148

On the last day of nomination filing, BJP announced two more candidates for the Maharashtra assembly elections, increasing their total to 148. The party also allocated four assembly seats to its allies within the Mahayuti alliance. Additionally, BJP fielded Dr Santuk Marotrao Hambarde for the Nanded Lok Sabha bypoll, following the demise of Congress leader Vasant Chavan.
