Maharashtra Assembly Polls: 96.3 million voters, 4,136 candidates, and a bitter battle set between MVA, Mahayuti

Over 96 million voters in Maharashtra will vote to elect 288 members of the legislative assembly. Four main parties are contesting the elections. BJP, Shiv Sena (Shinde) and NCP(Ajit) are contesting as allies. Congress, NCP (Sharadchandra Pawar) and Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray Sena are contesting as allies. The presence of rebel candidates and over 2,000 independent candidates makes the election unpredictable.
