Maharashtra: 167 Guillain-Barre Syndrome cases detected, 7 deaths reported

Maharashtra Health Department reported 192 suspected and 167 confirmed Guillain-Barre Syndrome (GBS) cases, with seven deaths. Surveillance efforts intensified following outbreaks in Pune areas, and 30 private water supply plants were sealed. GBS, an autoimmune condition, causes muscle weakness and possible paralysis. Authorities are closely monitoring and treating affected patients.
