Prayagraj is experiencing a major medicine shortage due to the influx of devotees for the Maha Kumbh. The wholesale medicine market at Leader Road has been disrupted since mid-January. Truck entry bans and the high volume of pilgrims have affected medicine supplies, causing shortages of essential drugs for blood pressure, cardiac conditions, and diabetes.
