Maha Kumbh 2025 saw 20% of newly initiated Naga sadhus from Dalit, tribal communities

Naga sadhus, traditionally from privileged castes, welcomed Dalits and tribals during this Maha Kumbh. Over 20% of newly initiated sadhus were from these communities, and 250 women became Naga sadhvis. The event concludes with the departure of 13 akharas following rituals and processions, as they head towards various holy sites like Kashi and Ayodhya.
