The 38-year-old was caught by pundits Ian Wright and Anita Asante before ITV quickly cut to a wider shot of the two teams warming up on the pitch at St. Mary’s Stadium. After a brief moment of silence on air, ITV4’s broadcast then cut to an advert break. When the coverage returned, presenter Katie Shanahan announced she had taken over from Woods, who had been ‘taken ill’. ‘As you have probably noticed we don’t have the wonderful Laura Woods because she’s just been taken ill but she’s in very good hands so I’m stepping in at late notice,’ Shanahan said.
