KFC leaving Kentucky: Why the iconic fast food chain is moving to Texas?

KFC is relocating its U.S. corporate headquarters from Louisville, Kentucky, to Plano, Texas, as part of Yum! Brands restructuring plan. The move, which will also shift Pizza Huts base, has drawn criticism from Kentucky leaders, including Governor Andy Beshear. Despite the transition, Yum! Brands will retain its corporate offices and the KFC Foundation in Louisville, alongside a $1 million scholarship endowment.
