Kerala Polls: Former CPI(M) veteran or present CPI(M) MLA in Ambalapuzha?

CPI(M) veteran G. Sudhakaran, who was three-time MLA and a minister in LDF governments, is taking on sitting MLA and his former campaign manager H. Salam of the CPI(M) in Ambalapuzha constituency. Mr. Sudhakaran has the backing of the UDF in the constituency, which comprises areas forming the heartland of the Punnapra-Vayalar uprising and surplus land struggle in the past.
