BJP state president B Y Vijayendra has alleged Karnataka is nearing bankruptcy, unable to pay outstanding debts in transport and energy departments due to pre-poll guarantees. He urged Chief Minister Siddaramaiah to present the state's financial situation transparently and criticized the misuse of funds meant for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes.
