Jharkhand Election Phase 1 Voter Turnout: 13.03% observed till 9am; Simdega leads with 15.09%

The first phase of polling for Jharkhand assembly elections and the Wayanad by-election concluded on Wednesday. Voters also cast their ballots in 33 assembly bypolls across 11 states. The voter turnout in the first phase of Jharkhand elections was recorded at 13.03%. Key candidates in the fray include former Jharkhand Chief Minister Champai Soren and Congress leader Ajoy Kumar.
