Japan issues tsunami advisory after strong earthquake
A three-meter (9.8 foot) tsunami warning was issued for Japan after a strong 7.4 magnitude earthquake struck off its northeastern coast on Monday, according to the Japan Meteorological Agency and the US Geological Survey. The threat was later revised down to a tsunami advisory, authorities said.
