The James Webb Space Telescope has captured an image of HH 30, a young star in the Taurus Molecular Cloud. This star is energising the surrounding space and illuminating a protoplanetary disk, which could birth a new solar system. The findings provide insight into star and planet formation, published in The Astrophysical Journal.
