Jaishankar raises toast to India–UK strategic partnership at UK National Day celebration in Delhi

Jaishankar celebrated the United Kingdom's National Day in New Delhi, highlighting the strong strategic ties between India and the UK. He remarked, “It is a pleasure to join in this celebration. Our relationship has evolved from a complex historical association to a dynamic partnership. This year has been remarkable, featuring PM Keir Starmer's visit to Mumbai with the largest UK trade delegation and PM Modi's visit to the UK three months ago, where we signed a comprehensive economic and trade agreement. We also adopted Vision 2035 to guide our ties in areas such as growth, technology, defense, climate change, and education. Additionally, nine leading UK universities have received approval to establish campuses in India, marking a significant development.”
