Israel's Netanyahu dismisses defense minister in surprise announcement

Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu removed Defense Minister Yoav Gallant. Netanyahu said there was a lack of trust. The two disagreed on handling the Gaza war. Gallant, a former general, was popular for his straightforward style. He will be replaced by Foreign Minister Israel Katz. Gideon Saar will take over as Foreign Minister.
