Indonesia sees first deflation reading in more than two decades

Indonesia experienced its first annual deflation in over two decades in February, driven primarily by a 50% discount on electricity tariffs. The consumer price index fell 0.09% year-on-year, well below Bank Indonesia's target range. Core inflation slightly increased, but overall inflation is expected to rise again as the discounts end.
