Indigenous artillery ammo nears completion

India is progressing towards indigenous artillery ammunition. DRDO project aims to reduce foreign dependency. Four variants of 155 mm ammunition have been tested. These variants meet Army requirements. Final user trials are planned for November. Reliance Infrastructure and Yantra India are working with DRDO. Indian requirement is around ₹10,000 crore. Exports can be several times higher.
