India's oil consumption is projected to lead globally by 2050, reaching 9.1 million barrels per day due to robust economic growth, according to BP’s chief economist Spencer Dale. Natural gas demand will also nearly double. While renewables are growing, coal will remain significant, though its share will decrease in a decarbonization scenario.
