India's forex reserves at $700.2 bn as of Sept 26, sufficient for 11 months of merchandise imports: RBI

Reserve Bank of India Governor Sanjay Malhotra announced India's forex reserves reached $700.2 billion. The repo rate remains at 5.5 percent. The Monetary Policy Committee revised the GDP growth forecast for FY2025-26 to 6.8 percent. Quarterly growth projections for FY26 were also provided.
