India's 5th generation fighters all set to take off at jet speed

India's defence ministry has cleared a competitive model for the Advanced Multirole Combat Aircraft (AMCA) program, inviting bids from domestic private and public sector companies to develop next-generation fighter jets. This initiative aims to create a fifth-generation fighter jet, with Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd (HAL), Tata Advanced Systems Ltd (TASL), and Adani Defence among the leading contenders.
