India's 2025 rice exports surge to near record as curbs lifted
Indias rice exports rose 19.4% last year to 21.55 million tonnes, the second-highest level on record, after the government lifted all export curbs. Officials said shipments recovered quickly from March as supplies improved on record production and the last restrictions imposed in 2022–23 were removed.
