Krishnan, Secretary of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), said during a podcast with Moneycontrol on the sidelines of the India Mobile Congress. Krishnan said the Centre’s focus is on promoting Indian-made digital solutions that meet world-class standards. “We will support everything which is Indian, which is of that quality and that kind of competitiveness,” he said, adding that India must never “settle for anything less than best-in-class,” even when promoting local innovation. His remarks come amid a broader government effort to adopt Zoho’s digital office suite, including its email and productivity tools, across departments. Both Union Home Minister Amit Shah and IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw have publicly endorsed Zoho’s adoption in government operations. Krishnan also revealed that the National Informatics Centre (NIC) migrated its email system to a Zoho-based platform over a year ago following price discovery and tendering processes. #government #support #startups #makeinindia #technology #indiafirst #news #indianstartupnews".
