Indian-origin Amazon veteran Anand Varadarajan named Starbucks CTO

Starbucks has appointed Anand Varadarajan as its new Chief Technology Officer. He is an Indian-origin technology executive with nearly two decades of experience at Amazon. Varadarajan will join the company's Executive Leadership Team on January 19. His appointment is expected to boost Starbucks' technology initiatives and digital capabilities globally. He succeeds Deb Hall Lefevre.
