India will be among leading exporters of defence equipment in 10 years, says DRDO chairman
India is set to become a leading exporter of defence equipment within ten years, targeting Rs 50,000 crore in exports by 2028 and Rs 1 lakh crore by 2035, with a significant decrease in imports. Nearly 90% of last year's capital acquisition budget was spent on indigenous systems.
