India to set data standards for developed nations to follow: CEA

India is poised to establish global benchmarks in data quality, according to Chief Economic Advisor V Anantha Nageswaran. This ambition arises amidst concerns about data accuracy in developed nations. The Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI) aims to enhance data robustness by introducing a Service Production Index, mirroring the Index of Industrial Production.
