India to get $4bn predator's drones: How 31 new killing machines will strengthen defence against China

The Cabinet Committee on Security has approved the procurement of 31 MQ-9B Predator drones from the US and the indigenous development of two nuclear-powered submarines. These initiatives aim to enhance India's defence capabilities, particularly in intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance. The drone deal, valued at $3.99 billion, is set to strengthen Indias maritime and territorial security, while the submarines will bolster the Indian Navy's presence in the Indo-Pacific region.
