India signs Bilateral Investment Treaty with Uzbekistan at Tashkent

India and Uzbekistan have signed a Bilateral Investment Treaty to enhance investor confidence and economic cooperation. The treaty, signed by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and Deputy Prime Minister Khodjayev Jamshid Abdukhakimovich, ensures protection for investors from both countries. It includes provisions for dispute settlement, transparency, and compensation for losses while maintaining policy space for state regulation.
