India on track to join China as upper-middle-income economy by 2030: SBI
India is likely to enter the upper-middle-income group by the end of this decade, joining China and Indonesia, according to a report by the State Bank of India (SBI). SBI said India is expected to reach a per capita income of $4,000 by 2030, meeting the current threshold for the category.
