India, Guyana ink 5 pacts; resolve to expand ties in diverse areas

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Guyanese President Mohamed Irfaan Ali have pledged to strengthen cooperation in defense, trade, energy, pharmaceuticals, and agriculture. The two leaders signed five agreements to facilitate collaboration in these sectors, with a particular focus on energy security and pharmaceutical exports. This visit marks the first by an Indian Prime Minister to Guyana in 56 years.
