India-Australia pact on undersea surveillance comes into effect

India and Australia's undersea surveillance pact came into effect on Thursday with a three-year joint research project between Australias DSTG and Indias DRDO. The collaboration will focus on enhancing detection and tracking of submarines and underwater vehicles using Towed Array Target Motion Analysis to strengthen existing surveillance systems.
