India and Bangladesh lock horns over border fencing, security, and minority safety

India and Bangladesh concluded high-level border talks, tackling key issues such as security, border fencing, infiltration, and minority safety. The Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) objected to India's fence construction near the zero line, while the Border Security Force (BSF) maintained its stance. Discussions also addressed cross-border crimes and reported attacks on minorities in Bangladesh. Both nations agreed on intelligence sharing and joint inspections to improve border management. The next round of talks will take place in July in Dhaka.
