IMD issues red alert for heavy rainfall in West Bengal, Odisha, and more states; Check full weather alert

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued severe weather alerts for several states, including Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, and Jharkhand, forecasting extreme rainfall through September 20. The IMD has also extended warnings to Odisha, Bihar, and various northeastern states. Fishermen are advised to avoid the northern Bay of Bengal and adjacent coastal areas due to hazardous sea conditions.
