ICS criticises NMC’s decision to remove respiratory medicine amid rising air pollution

The Indian Chest Society is worried about the alarming levels of air pollution in India, causing respiratory and cardiovascular diseases, especially in vulnerable groups. The Delhi Government has directed hospitals to set up specialist teams to handle patients, but the Indian Medical Association is concerned about removing Respiratory Medicine departments from MBBS medical college hospitals.
