I-T dept to share data with Food Ministry to weed out ineligible PMGKAY beneficiaries

The income tax department will collaborate with the Food Ministry to eliminate ineligible beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana. Data such as Aadhaar and PAN will be shared to verify income thresholds. The scheme offers free ration to the poor and has been extended for five years starting January 2024.
