Hyderabad court orders Swiggy to pay Rs 35,000 for charging Rs 103 delivery fee

Ranga Reddy's District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission ruled against Swiggy for inflating delivery distances and overcharging Emmadi Suresh Babu, a customer with a Swiggy One membership. Swiggy must refund Babu, pay for his mental distress and litigation costs, and deposit punitive damages into the Consumer Welfare Fund. Swiggy has 45 days to comply with the order.
