Horticulture production falls slightly in 2023-24, fruit output rises

India's horticulture production is projected to decline slightly by 0.65% to 353.19 million tonnes in 2023-24, according to the government's third advance estimate. While fruit production is expected to rise by 2.29%, driven by higher outputs of certain fruits, vegetable production is projected at 205.80 million tonnes with mixed results across different crops.
