Hopeful to sign trade pact with EU soon: Piyush Goyal

Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal said India hopes to soon sign a free trade agreement (FTA) with the European Union (EU) to boost trade and investment. Negotiations resumed in June 2022 after an eight-year gap and aim to conclude by December. The FTA covers 23 areas, including goods, services, investment, intellectual property, and sustainable development.
