HMPV a common virus, no need to panic: Himachal health minister

Himachal Pradesh Health Minister Dhani Ram Shandil assured that human metapneumovirus (HPMV) is a common virus and there is no need to panic. The virus, present since 2001, spreads through close contact. He advised preventive measures like wearing masks and visiting health centres if symptoms appear. The health department is prepared to handle any HPMV rise.
