Haryana: From kings to kingmakers - Chautalas now battling for survival

The JJP and INLD failed to gain a single seat in the recent Lok Sabha elections. The INLD won 1.84 percent of the vote after contesting seven seats, while the JJP won 0.87 percent after contesting all 10. To resurrect their fortunes, both parties have this time allied with political groupings with a dalit base: INLD has partnered with BSP, and JJP has joined forces with ASP.
