Gurgaon Police to send online challans for lapsed PUC and insurance

Gurgaon Police now issue online challans for expired PUC and insurance using new software that checks digital records of vehicles captured by cameras. This automated system, implemented on Wednesday, imposes fines for violated traffic rules. The city has expanded to 10,000 CCTV cameras, resulting in 13.6 lakh traffic violations and Rs 15.1 crore in penalties last year.
