Greece's Port of Piraeus seizes record haul of fraudulently imported Chinese goods

The European Public Prosecutor's Office in Athens ordered the seizure of more than 2,400 containers – a record number – at the Port of Piraeus, carrying Chinese goods that entered the European Union (EU) without paying customs duties or value-added tax (VAT). Six people, including two Greek customs officers, were suspected of involvement in this large-scale smuggling operation.
