Govt says 13 people arrested for hoax bomb threats to airlines in 2024

In 2024, 13 individuals were arrested in relation to hoax bomb threats targeting airlines, with 728 threats recorded overall. The majority of these threats, 714, were directed at domestic carriers, with IndiGo experiencing the highest number. Foreign carriers also received a total of 14 threats, highlighting ongoing security concerns and the measures in place to address them.
