Govt allows 2G ethanol exports with authorisation, certification: DGFT

India's export regulations have been amended by the Directorate General of Foreign Trade, now permitting the export of Second Generation (2G) ethanol. This eco-friendly ethanol, derived from non-food sources like agricultural residues, aligns with sustainability goals due to its low CO₂ emissions. Exports necessitate valid authorization and feedstock certification, impacting ethanol under ITC(HS) Code 22072000.
