Gold worth Rs 12.56 cr seized from Kannada actress at Bengaluru airport: DRI

Kannada actress Ranya Rao was intercepted by Directorate of Revenue Intelligence officers at Kempegowda International Airport, Bengaluru, with 14.2 kg of smuggled gold bars valued at Rs 12.56 crore. Subsequent searches revealed additional assets worth Rs 4.73 crore, marking a significant blow to the gold smuggling network.
