Goa speaker dismisses disqualification petition against 8 Cong MLAs who joined BJP
Goa assembly speaker Ramesh Tawadkar dismissed a disqualification petition by the Congress against eight MLAs who joined BJP in 2022. The petition argued against the merger, but Tawadkar ruled that disqualification doesn't apply when a political party merges with another.
